Okay so lets throw in a little curve ball here and talk about Comic
Sans’ younger and more elegant sibling

“The squashed,
wonky, and weird glyphs of Comic Sans have been beaten into shape while
maintaining the honesty that made Comic Sans so popular.
It's perfect as
a display face, for marking up comments, and writing passive aggressive office
memos.” - Craig Rozynski
Now to the
nitty-gritty (sorta) Comic Neue is a casual script typeface, in the same
category as Comic Sans. It also has a variation being Comic Neue Angular, which
features sharp angular terminals as opposed to round. The font also comes in
three weights and an oblique (basically a fake italic)
Comic Sans
(duh)
I’d take that
comparison as an insult, but evolution has favoured you Comic Neue.
Monoweight – all strokes are the same
weight
Round terminals
Wide aperture
Crossbar’s on capital “A” & “H” are
slightly slanted
Slight tilt on axis’ of “O” and “Q”

Unfortunately I could not find an in-print
example. But here is what’s on the main page of the Comic Neue website and I
think its pretty alright.
The big bold weight of Futura Medium
conforms with C-Neue.
(Look it’s still basically Comic Sans, I’m
being generous here)
