Today I decided to explore the local area and came across a really teeny tiny antiques shop. It was filled with no end of little treasures and I spotted some stuff that I had been searching around for. Honestly there was so much stuff crammed into such a small area; it felt like a mission to try and dig through a box of small tins and baskets of glass jars! Here is a small post on what I decided to buy in the charming shop, enjoy!

2 x 35mm Film Cameras

| Franka NX-40 |
This is the first camera I spotted in the pile of old and unused film cameras. Its a Franka NX-40; a brand I had never heard of before, and nor has the internet it seems. It has a cheap plastic body, no flash (but you can buy one for it and pop it on top), simple aperture settings and it seems pretty easy to use! To me it looks and feels like it is in full working condition, the back comes off nicely, and a 35mm film is required, which is great as its the cheapest and easiest type of film to develop!

Now this camera feels much more weighty and a tad more upscale to the Franka. This is probably due to it having a metal body and a few more parts to it. This is a Prinz Pilot E; a brand I also haven't heard of. The reason I bought this one was because the film advance lever reminded me of the one in the movie - We'll Take Manhattan; a film about the relationship between model Jean Shrimpton and Photographer David Bailey. This camera is a bit more complicated to use due to there being quiet a few settings on the lens, which, as a novice to the film camera front, is confusing to me. After a few tries with the camera I believe I will begin to understand its ways, after all, analogue photography is very hit and miss!
Also check out the groovy pleather case that came with the Prinz! I found the name and address of the previous owner of the camera written inside, which makes you wonder where the person is now and why did they give away the camera? Ahh, nostalgia.

3 x Tins
I have been looking for some old rusty tins for a while now and as soon as I spotted these I needed them in my life! The red tin I had to purchase because I have an another small round tin of the same brand, which I bought about a year ago in Bangkok! Coincidence???
The tins are:
- Cravena Tobacco
- Altoids Peppermints
- Allenburys Pastilles
The 2 small tins are prefect for storing safety pins and charcoal for my arting!
As I said It was a small haul but I hope you found some of it interesting, and even useful on the camera front! Speaking of film cameras, I am a novice to the whole notion but I really enjoy analogue photography due to its aspect of the unknown. I love the thrill
